7 Phases of Healing: Addressing the Chronic Inflammation Process
Considerable scientific advances have been made in recent years in the field of inflammation. Breakthroughs in genetic, immunological, biochemical and microbiological research provide new insights into the pathophysiology of inflammatory disorders. However, there is a heightened requirement for physicians not only to keep informed of new scientific approaches but also identify appropriate and effective clinical strategies for treatment. It is recognized that the process of chronic inflammation is the contributing factor in a vast majority of pathological conditions, from cardiovascular and autoimmune diseases, to neurodegenerative conditions, allergies and depression. These conditions constitute a high percent of patient load in daily practice requiring physicians to hone their skills; developing new tools and strategies for appropriate assessment and clinically effective treatments. Understanding the inflammation process, mechanism of action, phases of healing and appropriate targeted nutritional intervention are essential in our ability to manage symptoms and provide a foundation for healing and optimal health.
This presentation will provide a step-by-step approach in identifying the 7 phases of healing for Chronic Inflammation and include a case study on Essential Hypertension.
